Construction in Woodbridge later began in 1975 and was complete by the early 1990's, the village opened for sales in 1976. Woodbridge Neighborhoods The village of Woodbridge offers a variety communities including; single family homes, townhomes, and condominiums. The overall design theme is a New England Cape Cod Style. Neighborhoods are connected by a four lane circular road called Yale Loop. Residents frequently refer to themselves living in the north half or south half and "in the loop" or not. Woodbridge Shopping Woodbridge residents have extremely very convenient shopping. Woodbridge residents have their very own 178,000 square foot shopping center right in the center of the village complete with numerous shops and restaurants. The Market Place, about 10 minutes away, straddling Irvine and Tustin, has over 1.6 million square feet of retail shopping extravanza. With 1,060,778 sq. ft. the Irvine Spectrum center has just about everything!
