Previously known as planning area 9C, builders put in for approvals sometime in May of 2006. Construction has begun and home sales will begin later this year.

Woodbury East will have a total of 6 to 8 neighborhoods. William Lyons homes will be building 60 homes on 8.8 acres. Brookfield Homes will be building 84 homes on 6.24 acres. California Pacific Homes will be building 137 homes on 11.02 acres. John Laing Homes will be putting up 97 homes on 5.95 acres. William Lyon Homes will be building 135 homes on 8.09 acres. Standard Pacific Homes is building 108 homes on 7.55 acres. Shea homes is building homes 68 homes on 3.19 acres and 72 homes on 3.8 acres.

Woodbury East Shopping

Within walking distance is one of Irvine's latest, greatest, and largest shopping areas; the Woodbury Town Center. The new 450,000 square foot center is home to a Ralphs AND a Trader Joe's grocer. Also at the new Woodbury Town Center is Home Depot, 24 Hour Fitness, Starbucks, and a Walgreens, among others. Dining out at the Town Center is also quite a treat, with numerous restaurants, a 50,000 square foot island with outdoor seating featuring trelises with Bougonvilla flowers and outdoor music.
